SimpliHome supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Generate an API token with the
mcp:use
scope, point your AI tool at
/mcp/household,
and your AI can immediately query your household data — no setup beyond that.
Generate a token
In SimpliHome settings, create a new API token and select the mcp:use scope. Copy the token — you'll add it to your AI tool's config.
Configure your AI tool
Paste the token into Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible tool. Point the MCP server URL at /mcp/household.
Ask away
Your AI tool now has live read access to your household. Ask it anything — it queries SimpliHome in real time, no copy-pasting needed.
