How Calendar Syncing Works — Step by Step

Connect your account: Go to Calendar Settings and click "Connect Google" or "Connect Microsoft". You'll be taken through a secure OAuth login — SimpliHome never sees your password.
Choose your calendars: Select which of your Google or Outlook calendars to link. You can sync your personal calendar, a shared work calendar, or both.
Initial sync: SimpliHome imports your existing events and registers a real-time webhook with Google or Microsoft so future changes arrive instantly.
Two-way sync in action: Create an event in SimpliHome — it appears in Google Calendar within seconds. Invite acceptance in Outlook — the RSVP updates in SimpliHome automatically.
Family visibility: Events you mark as shared are visible to your Circle. Personal events synced from your own Google Calendar remain private to you.
Ongoing updates: As long as the connection is active, SimpliHome and your external calendar stay in lock-step. You can disconnect at any time from Calendar Settings.
